Roger had such a good soul and always so engaging to visit with. I enjoyed the Memorial Day weekends that would give me the opportunity to visit with so many of my relatives. I will remember Roger and the stories he told of days past in growing up on the farm. My deepest sympathys to Dennis, Francine and Gene.

I knew Roger through our membership in the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers (ISPE.) He was smart (very) and dedicated to educating future engineers, taking numerous leadership roles in ISPE and being a key member of the MATHCOUNTS competition administration team.

In addition to his professional credibility, Roger was a generous person with a quick wit and great sense of humor. He will be missed.

My condolences to his family and many friends.
