Marsolie McCarty, 97, of Herrin, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at her home.
She was born on September 17, 1923 to John and Vivian (Hampton) McFadin.
Marsolie’s wishes were to be cremated. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
So Loved, So as she will be missed. Her love of X-Mas lights and changing of lights for every occasion was amazing. Her hummer and stories of years passed are a treasure, as so is she , One Great Lady
In Memory of Marci , there will be a Memorial sign at the 2021 X mas Hometown Christmas downtown, she loved the lights.
Before she “departed Planet Earth”, her preferred term, Marsolie enjoyed going out dancing with Shirley, talking to and traveling with Mary, and until a couple of years ago, playing cards with friends. She was a vivacious, lively, lovely woman, who will be missed by all who knew her.

We always loved Marsolie’s positive attitude and her enjoyment of life. She had so much enjoyment from dancing with a partner or alone! Our sympathy to her family.
