Linda A. Smith, 78, of Herrin, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, March 4th, 2021.
Linda was an amazing mother and friend to all who knew her. She always had a smile and a story to tell. She will be greatly missed.
Linda was born October 21st, 1942 in Herrin, the daughter of Paul and Bramlett Rodgers Smith. After many working years she retired from General Dynamics.

Son- Joey Smith of Herrin
Son- Harold “Boo Boo” and Carrie Smith of Morristown, TN
Daughter- Carrie Jeralds of Herrin
Seven Grandchildren:
Chase and Crystal Smith of Pittsburg, Alacia Manning of Goreville, Makaila Smith of Anna, Shelby and Noah Smith of Morristown, TN and Jessie Holland of Herrin
Three Great Grandchildren:
Arianna Camden of Goreville, Paisley and Kaylee Smith of Pittsburg
Brother- Larry Smith of Leesburg, FL
Many nieces, nephews and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters- Carolyn Brower and Loretta Smith
As per her wishes, she will be cremated. A time of visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the First Christian Church in Carterville. Family and friends are asked to gather for a time of fellowship and remembrance. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
