Mary Ruth Dietz, 62, of Pittsburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 3:16 pm at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Mary Ruth was born February 15, 1958 the daughter of Carl and Alice (Jackson) Garris.  She married Dennis Dietz on September 9, 1995 in Marissa and he survives in Pittsburg.

Mary Ruth enjoyed spending time crafting; raising her birds, dogs, cats and her chickens.  Most importantly was time spent with her family, she loved being a mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her; Husband – Dennis Dietz of Pittsburg

Daughter – Mary Alice Adams (John) of Pittsburg

Son – Michael Dietz (Ashley) of Pittsburg

Four granddaughters: Aliayah, Kaylee, Emily and Ruth

Two great-granddaughters; Violet and Phoenix

Two brothers

Five sisters

Several nieces and nephews

Preceded by her Parents, daughter – Jamie Michelle Tolbert and grandparents.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 10, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Don Colson officiating.  Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, social distancing is advised and the wearing of masks is encouraged.

The family has ask that memorials are made to Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois  62959.
