Wanda and Allen had the farm next to my grandfather. Growing up, they were like family to me. Though she wasn’t actually my aunt, she will always be “Aunt Wanda” to me. She was a great lady.

Sorry to hear of Mrs. McCabe passing. She was my Science teacher my freshman year in H.S. I am sure that I made her wish I had taken Biology instead of Science. She was certainly a patient person. Her encouragement pointed me to a teaching career in Science also.

I was told that my mother, Freda (Hartley) Fox and she were cousins but I never knew the exact family pathway.

My prayer is that God grant the gift of peace to Mr. McCabe.

    Allan

I’m your cousin Albert’s 3rd oldest grandchild. Grandpa fondly talked about you. My daughter and I come to Marion often and she has benefited indirectly from yours/Wanda’s donation to the Cultural Arts Center. Thank you for being supportive of the arts. I’m sorry for your loss. I’ve heard from several Marion friends of the kindness both of you shared over the years. May Wanda’s legacy live on.
