William “Will” P. Hess, Jr., 33, of Marion, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 8:58 am at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Will was born February 1, 1983 in Murphysboro the son of William, Sr. and Susan (Lukesh) Hess.

 

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion and the Knights of Columbus.

 

Survivors include his;

 

Daughter – Gracie of Carterville

 

Parents – William and Susan Hess, Sr. of Marion

 

Sister – Jessica Hess of St. Louis, Missouri

 

Brother – Matthew Hess of Herrin

 

Brother – Nicholas Hess and Fiancé Jenni Ozga of Morgan Town, West Virginia

 

Paternal Grandparents – William and Grace Hess of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Niece - Addison Hess of Marion

Uncle – Robert Hess of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

 

Aunt & Uncle – Janet and Ron Megen and family of Ashville, North Carolina

 

Preceded by his Maternal Grandparents – John and Frances Lukesh and Uncle Brian Hess

 

Memorial services will be Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10:30 am at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Father Richard Mohr officiating. Inurnment will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. Visitation will be Friday from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home.

 

For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Marion Knights of Columbus. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
