Randall T. Parker, 72, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 4:30 pm at his home in Marion.
Randy was born May 14, 1944 in Marion the son of Joseph and Adris (Ingram) Parker. He married Patti Dungey on February 3, 1979 in Marion and together they shared over 37 years of marriage.
He retired from Amax Coal Company, he was a member of the UMWA. Randy loved to work on anything with a motor, big or small. He rarely turned down a challenge to fix whatever friends dropped off at his garage. Everyone knew that if the garage door was open he was happy to sit and visit with friends and neighbors.
His greatest joy were his children and grandchildren and enjoying their many accomplishments in life. This past year he asked the Lord into his heart and his faith brought him comfort in his final days.

Memorial services will be Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 3 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. John Howat officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
