I have a warm memory of the day my young grandson could not get his go-cart started, in spite of every effort. Dave happened to come by, and was so kind and helpful to the boy - willing to spend as long as needed, and do whatever it took to fix the mechanical problem (at no charge).

Listening to their their conversation, I recognized that only a truly good man would thus treat a little boy’s distress as though it was the most urgent thing in his life.

The world was a better place because of David Michael Church; and we will look forward to joining him in eternity with Christ.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Dave, however, I count myself blessed to know him through the beautiful and endearing stories Judy would share with me. I know he had a family who loved him dearly and he will be truly missed. My heart goes out to all those who were touched by the life of Dave. May you all find comfort that you will see each other again.

    All my love,
    Heather

David must have been quite a man of God. His love for his Lord and family is evident through all of the comments those who knew him have shared. It was a Blessing meeting you the other day in the hospital. We have also enjoyed meeting Sarah and getting to know her three girls here at school. All of you are in our prayers. May the Lord carry you through this very difficult time. Tom and Cindy Ferguson

Very sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. And, condolences to his family and close friends as I know he will be missed. Dave and I were classmates growing up in tiny Piper City, Illinois. I remember him as always being good natured with a good sense of humor. We had fun.

I am so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. I only just heard of your loss today. He remains in my memory as the one who took mercy and invited me to the Jr Prom. Though I didn’t remain in touch with my Piper City friends I have fond memories.
