Dixon D. Roberts, 78, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 4 pm at Parkway Manor.

Dixon was born May 16, 1936 in Marion the son of Jack and Melva (Dippie) Roberts. He married Donnie Curtis on March 18, 1975 in Kokomo, Indiana and together they have shared over 39 years of marriage.

He retired from the Air Force after proudly serving for over 22 years. Dixon was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his;
Wife – Donnie Roberts of Marion
Son – Richard Roberts and wife Christy of Houston, Texas
Daughter – Susan Kay Niclosi and husband Joseph of Baltimore, Maryland
Son – Mark Roberts and wife Priscilla of Fort Worth, Texas
Fourteen grandchildren
Fifteen great grandchildren

Preceded by his Parents

Funeral services will Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 11 am at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff VanDyke officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military rights will be presented by members of the Marion VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and Scott Air Force Base Detail Unit. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 – 8 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home. Masonic rites will be presented at 7 pm on Monday evening.
