Herrin- Ronald C. Reeder, age 77, of Herrin, passed away at 7:14am on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Hillview Healthcare Center in Vienna.
Ronald was born in Murphysboro on July 12, 1936, the son of Earl and Margaret (Wisely) Reeder. He married Becky Carter on March 10, 1989 in Paducah, Kentucky. She survives in Herrin.
Mr. Reeder was retired from Southern Illinois University, where he served as the Director of Aviation.

Daughter- Leslie Willan and husband Larry of Indianapolis, IN
Daughter- Stephanie Red Feather and husband Joe Loudin of Platt City, MO
Step-Daughter- Leslie Stark and husband Gary of Anna
Step-Daughter- April Boyd of O’Fallon, IL
Step-Daughter- Jill Carter and husband Scott of Anna
Four Grandchildren- Ryan Stark, Makenzie Carter, Hayden Carter, and William Garcia Boyd
Brother- Dave Reeder and wife Leah of Opelousas, LA
Nephew- Mike Reeder and wife Monica of Opelousas, LA
Several Great Nieces and Great Nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents.
As per his wishes, Mr. Reeder will be cremated. Private family services will be held. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
