Herrin- Patricia Joan (Owen) Alumbaugh, age 80, of Herrin, passed away at 3:45am on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at her home in Herrin.
Patricia was born on August 8, 1933 in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, the daughter of Jack Arden and Lena Belle (Gibson) Owen. She married Eugene L. “Gene” Alumbaugh on October 12, 1952 in Evansville, Indiana. He survives in Herrin.
Mrs. Alumbaugh was a homemaker.

Daughter- Karen Walker and Wes Mills of Greenup, IL

Son- Tony and Cindy Alumbaugh of Nolensville, TN
Son- Stephen Alumbaugh of Herrin

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers- Donnie and Gene Owen, and one sister- Sharon L. Elduen.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Pastor Michael VanBriston officiating. Burial will follow at BlairsvilleCemetery. Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
