    Although Mary Ann wasn’t my grandma, I knew her and referred to her as “grammy.” I grew up with her granddaughter Megan Adams (Rothchild). We spent many of summers swimming in grammy’s pool J She had a strong faith and was full of joy that was contagious. One fond memory I have of grammy was when she was extremely excited to give me a gift. She placed in my hand a pencil with an eraser on each end and no point to it. I was a bit baffled by this gift. How could I find any use to this pencil with no point to write with? She could see my confusion and twisted the pencil around to read, “Life without Jesus Christ is like this pencil, no point to it!” Well, that pretty much sums up grammy… loves to tell corny jokes and loves JESUS!

    Don and Family;
    Oh, with a broken heart I celebrate the joy Mary Ann is now enjoying (with my mom) with Jesus this very moment!
    She was so much more than just a friend to me. She was a mentor. A surrogate mom. A confidant. My former youth leader. I looked up to her in more ways than one. She knew my deepest darkest secrets, and loved me anyway.
    Several times I have meant to stop by the house to say hi before I left IL. The last time I saw Mary Ann was at COF. She hugged me and told me she loved me. She always did that. I know where she’s at. I know Mom and Mary Ann are catching up, but oh, how sad I am!
    I am praying for the Comforter is holding your hearts! For, we do not grieve in vain!

    Me and my mother cleaned house for Mrs. Reis. She was always there to welcome us with a smile. She told us many jokes and shared many stories of her family with us. She always gave us a hug when we were ready to leave and blessed us as we went on our way. We will greatly miss her. We send our love and condolences to her family.
