Dennis Wayne Gooch

Marion- Dennis Wayne Gooch, age 44, of Marion, passed away at 12:58am on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Dennis was born in Eldorado on May 16, 1969, the son of Virginia (Odom) and Dennis Gooch Sr. A graduate of ITT Technical Institute in Paducah, Dennis had worked at Pleasant Ridge Water Plant and Tuck Tape in Carbondale.

Survivors include his parents- Virginia and Dennis Gooch, Sr of Marion

Sister- Crystal Wright of Marion

Niece - Amy and Jim Lambert of Marion

Nephew- Jody Wright of Marion

Nephew- Nathan Wright of Marion

Nephew- Tylir Buie of Vienna

Grand niece- Ginna Ragan of Marion

Grand niece- Haylee Lambert of Carterville

Grand Niece- Cadynce Wright of Marion

Dennis had a host of friends who will miss him greatly, especially his nephew, Tylir Buie, who Denny loved like he was his own son.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Russ Finley officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 11:30am until time of services on Sunday at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.

    We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend, Denny Gooch. Denny has been a part of our family for many years and we are shocked by his sudden death. We are praying for all of Denny’s family and friends who are mourning this great loss. We will miss his amazing kindness and his unique sense of humor, beyond measure. Rest in Peace Dear One.     My heart is deeply saddened by the loss of such an amazing friend and wonderful man like Denny. He made a huge impact on everyone that he touched. He had such an unique ability to pick people up when they were feeling down. I will miss our conversations but hold strong in my faith that will we have them again. My prayers are with his parents, his, family, his friends, and especially Tylir who he loved with all his heart. God was waiting with open arms to bring his beautiful soul home again.
