Energy- William J. Billy Joe Cooper, 51, of Energy, passed away at 6:37 AM, Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Helia Healthcare Center in Energy.
Billy Joe was born on April 20, 1953 in Fond Du Lac, WI to Dave & Nellie Lee (Dobbins) Cooper.
He was an active, athletic energetic young man who excelled academically as well. He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball and had a particular fondness for horses and playing pool.
Mr. Cooper formerly worked as a machinist in Rockford and drove over the road in his own truck. He was of Pentecost faith.

He was preceded in death by his father & one sister; Ruth Leona Joles.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of service, Tuesday at the funeral home.
