Janet Rae Capps
Carbondale- Janet R. Capps, 65, of Carbondale, formerly of Hurst, passed away at 2:21 PM, Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Herrin Hospital.
Janet was born on March 30, 1944 in Hurst to Ceivel & Captola (Jerrell) Robison. She was of protestant faith and enjoyed reading in her spare time.
She worked in various positions at K-Mart until her retirement in 2004.
Survivors include-
Son- Joel Capps, Jr. and wife Sheila of De Soto, IL
Daughter- Nikki Jo Jaeger and husband Don of Menomenee Falls, WI
Grandchild- Madeline Jaeger of Menomenee Falls, WI
Grandchild- Audrey Emerson of Peoria, IL
Grandchild- Josh Capps of De Soto, IL
Brother- Robert Robison and wife Gloria of Energy
Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins
She was preceded in death by her parents & sister- Sandra Robison.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 5, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Ralph Brandon will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and will be accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home/ 201 South 13th St/ Herrin, IL 62948.
